Day Hike

Tori had a great idea right before the July 4th holiday. She suggested we go hiking in the local mountains on the day after July 4th. We borrowed a baby backpack for Benjamin and off we went.

The terrain was beautiful.

It was about 3/4 of a mile to a campground where we ate a snack.

Then back to the car but Benjamin didn’t make it.

Is it the end of May already?

So, we are a bit behind on our blog. Sorry =( What has happened since Christmas?

Well... Isaac turned 7. He begged for a birthday party. We settled with a fishing class at a regional park with a few of his friends.
Benjamin turned one and is just like his brother. Talks in his sleep and everything.

Our Princess Bekah (Rebekah is not a real name) is getting ready for her 5th brithday! She is very excited and can't wait to be spoiled =)

Other big things in our family... I will be homeschooling the children next year and we are getting an exchange student for one month this summer through Warren's work. She is from Germany (he is employed through DHL).

Last year, Warren blessed me to find joy in motherhood... I have found it =)

Can you think like a six year old? (Round 2)

So back in November Isaac did this as a writing assignment.

Isaac's Story 11-13-09 A

If you don’t remember, those circles are all bombs and the countdown is across the top. So, last week he was given the same piece of paper and this was the outcome.

Isaac's Story 2-5-10

We are taking this a proof that there is still hope for progress.

Benjamin got caught

Yesterday, Daddy made a pie for the treat for family home evening and Mommy put it in the fridge. However, one key thing was forgotten; Mommy didn’t shut the fridge door. Soooo, Benjamin crawled up to the open fridge as quickly as he could, stood himself up, and began to help himself. It was all over his hands and face before anyone knew it.

HO HO HO

Christmas this year was absolutely wonderful. This is what it is supposed to be like. Home all day in our pajamas, lots of food and treats, memorable family time, and beautiful weather. Lots of peanut brittle for everyone Tori could think of and great food and gifts from Magdalena and many other friends and family. What a wonderful time of year. Here are a few of our pictures.

Isn’t he adorable!

Isaac couldn’t sit still. I guess we shouldn’t be surprised since he is a 6 year old boy and it was Christmas. :)

P1070172

Papa and Daddy helped Isaac put together his new Darth Vader Space Ship Lego set.

P1070183

A classic Christmas gift for Daddy from Bama. (It’s broomstick fuel and is part of an old inside joke. I’ll relate it another day.)

P1070170

Mommy was given a funnel cake kit.

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was very enjoyable this year. We went to Warren’s parents house in the morning to visit with family, stopped by the Trout's to say hi, went to Tori’s sisters house in the evening and finished the night at home. It was very calm and relaxing and was a wonderful day with family and friends.

Isaac played Christmas music everywhere we went.

Rebekah took quite a liking to Grandpa Karl, perhaps that was because he was passing out the presents.

The whole family at Cyndee’s house.P1070090

Andy was a great tank for Isaac.

Benjamin's favorite toy the whole day was an empty water bottle.

The were too excited to go to bed. Here they are in their new jammies.

I can't belive my eyes!

So... Wednesday night, Bekah fell and cut her head by her left eyebrow. She was super glued back together.
AND... Benjamin just 5 minutes ago pull himself up on the little Futon bed, turned his body, let go and took one stop before falling!!!!!!!
