Sing your heart out, Alfalfa!

The kids were practicing the song they were going to sing at church on Easter and Tori was quite impressed with Isaac’s Alfalfa impersonation.

Here comes the Bunny!

No not Benny Bunny, the Easter bunny.

We hope everyone had a Christ centered Easter remembering the blessings of the atonement and resurrection He has given to us. We tried hard to focus on it throughout the week.

Here are a few pictures of our festivities.P1040909

Where did it go????

Our first one and it all happened in a few hours!

So tonight Isaac informed us that while Mommy was napping he tried to call Magdalena (our foreign exchange student from last year who lives in Germany). She left him a note with a number on it telling him to call her anytime. Isaac thinks he called the airport. He told us that he tried to explain to the person who answered the phone that he was trying to call our former foreign exchange student but at some point they hung up on him. Tonight at family prayer he told us that they answered the phone saying operator. He is convinced it was the operator for the airport.

So, how's the baby?

Benjamin is doing very well... He nurses wonderfully and sleeps soundly. We can actually lay him down before he is in the deepest of deep sleeps =) He has random bouts of reflux type symptoms, so I haven't had to change my diet... yet. He is super chunky and loves all his new clothes (well, I love his new clothes). He does have a heart murmur. I actually call it 2 heart murmurs. The little hole in your heart that closes at birth hasn't closed, but should soon. Also, the blood that flows from the heart into the lungs makes a whooshing sound. While these are very major to me, they are so minor to the cardiologist that Benjamin's next check-up is April 2010. I didn't think calendars went out that far. All-in-all, he is our perfect child and we feel very blessed to have him.

Here is a slideshow of 13 recent pictures of Benjamin.

Benjamin’s Baby Blessing

Last Sunday little Benjamin received a name and a blessing from Daddy at church. It was great having so many of our family members and friends attending.

(Will we ever see a good family picture with everyone smiling again?)

After church we had everyone over to the house for a small luncheon. Tori served nachos and cake (super easy and cheap; and apparently a big hit.)

Tori wasn’t too keen on the purple letters but hey, it was better than pink.

The line for the nachos seemed never ending.

We can only imagine the baby stories retold at this table.

More Strawberries!

Last night Isaac ate a strawberry and then promptly told us that the next time he had to poop he wanted to poop in the garden. Warren and I sat there staring at him trying to figure out what he was talking about. He then told us that since he had just eaten a strawberry and since strawberries have seeds on them that if he poops in the garden we can plant more strawberry seeds and then have more strawberry plants. Anyone want some strawberries?
