Merry Christmas

Lehndorfer’s 2010

What a wonderful time of the year! We often think back over the past year and examine all that has happened and contemplate about what we want to improve for the next year. This year, as we look back, we think about how much we love our family.

What we love about Warren

Mommy: gets up from the table and walks like an old man to takes his dishes to the sink, and takes the extra blankets from me at 2 in the morning because I am hot

Isaac: has glasses just like me, likes to play tickle monster with me

Bekah: kisses me, goes to work so we can have money

What we love about Victoria

Daddy: lets me be silly, home schools my children, can outrun me, makes really good cheesecake

Isaac: warm and soft, happy to make things for other people

Bekah: she’s beautiful

What we love about Isaac

Daddy: listens to the whole story when I read to him, excited to get baptized, takes good care of Hedwig

Mommy: Dress up with Hedwig, changes career choices based on whether he would have to work on Sunday, he wants to know when my friends Legoland passes will be exiled

Bekah: always gives me a hug after family prayer

What we love about Rebekah

Daddy: gives me stickers to wear to work, loves to dress-up, sleeps with eight blankets just like Daddy

Mommy: Cries when others are in trouble or hurt, punches Isaac in the stomach to get what she wants, wants to wear a dress everyday and put her hair in a ponytail

Isaac: lets me snuggle with her when I am cold at night

What we love about Benjamin

Daddy: gives good kisses, says ‘owie’ for everything, has to wave bye-bye from the front window to everyone who leaves

Mommy: Imitates everything we do, sorts the flatware, he takes any stick and points it at me and says “Avada Kedavra” in his best one and half year old voice

Isaac: plays with me

Bekah: says ‘night, night’ to get out of trouble

We hope everyone has a Very Merry Christmas and a wonderful 2011!

Big Brainz' Timez Attack

Big Brainz' Timez Attack: "The Ultimate Multiplication Tables Video Game"

Our friends, the Petersen's, introduced this great online game to us! You can play for free or buy an upgraded version. Even if you only play the free version, you can learn all your multiplication facts up to 12. When we downloaded the free version, Isaac was given the option of choosing the Dungeon or the Castle. He has mastered the 2's in the Castle. He is now doing the 3's in the Dungeon. He loves the ogres and the green slim they put on you! I love how funny the ogre looks when he scratches =) I am pretty sure we will buy the upgraded version so the children can visit the Lava, Jungle, Tower, ROBOTS, and a few more! Thank you Petersen's!!!!!!

Magdalena continues to spoil us with wonderful treats! For Bekah’s first day of school, Magdalena sent her a first day of school “Schultüte".

First Day of School

Last Wednesday was our first day of school! Our children are now attending Mount Everest Academy. This year they will be studying Folklore Around the World at Hogwarts. Wednesday, they traveled on the Hogwarts Express for about 7 hours. During this time, they picked up their pets (Isaac an owl and Bekah a Hello Kitty) and grandparents. Upon arriving at Hogwarts, they were sorted (Isaac into Gryffindor and Bekah into Ravenclaw) and then had a FEAST! Isaac is already planning the next feast. Most people work on academics the first day… we eat!

Hogwarts Express leaving.

House Elves that SAVED the day!!! Thank you =)

Isaac and Bekah listening as we, the adults, sang the Hogwarts School song. We really should have videoed this one!

The Feast!

35 minutes... can we beat it?

So... the last week of June/first week of July, my friend convinced me to go running with her. So a funny fast walk we went and I (Tori) almost died! I got a horrible blister on my Achilles tendon, I slept during the day or just sat because I ached ALL over. I told her 3 days a week was plenty.
Well, Wednesday morning with her 13 year old galloping ahead of us, we ran our 3 miles in 35 minutes! WOW! I was happy. Today on the other hand, it was hotter and since we don't run on Thursdays, I was feeling a bit sluggish. I even walked a short portion.... 33 minutes! Yippee =)
Happy Labor Day

Day Hike

Tori had a great idea right before the July 4th holiday. She suggested we go hiking in the local mountains on the day after July 4th. We borrowed a baby backpack for Benjamin and off we went.

The terrain was beautiful.

It was about 3/4 of a mile to a campground where we ate a snack.

Then back to the car but Benjamin didn’t make it.

Is it the end of May already?

So, we are a bit behind on our blog. Sorry =( What has happened since Christmas?

Well... Isaac turned 7. He begged for a birthday party. We settled with a fishing class at a regional park with a few of his friends.
Benjamin turned one and is just like his brother. Talks in his sleep and everything.

Our Princess Bekah (Rebekah is not a real name) is getting ready for her 5th brithday! She is very excited and can't wait to be spoiled =)

Other big things in our family... I will be homeschooling the children next year and we are getting an exchange student for one month this summer through Warren's work. She is from Germany (he is employed through DHL).

Last year, Warren blessed me to find joy in motherhood... I have found it =)

Can you think like a six year old? (Round 2)

So back in November Isaac did this as a writing assignment.

Isaac's Story 11-13-09 A

If you don’t remember, those circles are all bombs and the countdown is across the top. So, last week he was given the same piece of paper and this was the outcome.

Isaac's Story 2-5-10

We are taking this a proof that there is still hope for progress.
