Comeback Anyone?

At 7 am this morning, 2 girls from church were at our house for the day full of ideas of things to do with Isaac and Rebekah. They went swimming in a real pool, built tents in the playroom, played store, ate Frosted Flakes for breakfast, etc. At 2 pm they left, but a girl I tutor was here and her and Isaac continued to improve the tent. At 2:45, we made granola bars and then Isaac read a few books and played on the computer. At 5 we ate dinner and then packed up our granola bars and headed for the park for a Family Home Evening night with about 40 people form church. They played at he park for a long time, then had a lesson and played Simon Says. We then ate treats and played some more on the jungle gym. At 8:00 we hopped in the car at which time Isaac says, "Can I watch a movie when I get home? I have been bored all day." Yea, well that didn't sit well with me, so I said, "Well, after you watch the waterfall in the bathroom, you can watch the great movies on the back of your eyelids all night long."

Great Day!

Yesterday, we went to the baptism of some friends of ours. Three beautiful children made their first covenant with our Father in Heaven. While we were there, I remembered that yesterday was the day I was baptised 10 years ago. WOW. Ten years. Seems like yesterday. I am grateful for all those who have held my hand and helped me to better understand the wonderful blessings of a Savior. I wouldn't want my life any other way. On the way home Rebekah wanted to know when she could get baptised. Our handy dandy GPS has a calendar and so.... Isaac will be February 5, 2011, Rebekah will be July 6, 2013, and Benjamin will be March 4, 2017. While these dates are so far away, I think every mother would agree that they will be yesterdays event in a blink of an eye.

June 19 (part b)

Isaac has ended Kindergarten. Wow. I can't believe my little boy is so old. We had lots of great plans for the long summer that were quickly cut in half! Isaac finished school at 12:11 pm and when we got he mail that evening around 5ish we found a letter from the Lewis Center in our mailbox., The Lewis Center is a place in Apple Valley the has a charter school which focuses on science. They have a huge telescope and work with NASA on projects. I placed Isaac and Rebekah on the waiting list almost 3 years ago. Isaac was number 120 something and Rebekah was number 48. well, they have been able to expand and now Isaac will get to go there for 1st grade. We were hoping for Junior High. While I am very excited about the opportunity for him to attend this great school, I am sad because his elementary school, West Palms, is a wonderful school. School starts August 3, so we have lost 4 weeks of fun, but we are gaining a 2 week fall break, a 3 vs. 2 week winter break and a 2 vs. 1 week spring break. Good Luck, Isaac!

June 19 (part a)

Benjamin officially is mobile! While on his back, he rolls to his left (towards his favorite thumb) and keeps going.

As of today, the real date, he can actually roll both from his back to his stomach and then keep the circle going and roll from his stomach to his back. He weighed 17 lbs 12 oz at his 4 mo check-up and was 25 in. (July 2).

June 12

Well, not really. But we are very behind and this is the date we should have posted =)

Rebekah is now 4 years old. Our princess is growing up so quickly. She really enjoys being the Queen Bee around here and having two brothers to give her lots of attention. She dresses each morning like Fancy Nancy but will break a nail tackling Isaac to the ground. She is still a bit shy when addressed, but when no one is looking, she will belt out I Am A Child Of God as we stroll the aisles of Costco. We love our little girl and are very blessed to have her in our lives. Happy Birthday, Rebekah!

You can see all the pictures on the picasa link.
FYI She weighs 33 lbs and is 38 in.
